Iris Chiu (丘若杉) is a Chinese-American sound designer and composer currently based in New York City. She is a recent graduate from Carnegie Mellon University's School of Drama, holding a BFA with a concentration in Sound Design. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she discovered early in her high school years that she retains a passionate love for the art of designing all things sonic in the theatrical world.
First and foremost a storyteller, Iris uses imaginative effects and original scores to give voice to the unseen layers of feelings and ideas behind any show or project. Her most recent production credits include Dog Day Afternoon (Broadway), Laowang (Off-Broadway), and Life and Trust (Off-Broadway).
