The primary purpose of the sonic content of this production was transitional music that moved the story and characters from scene to scene. A show that focuses on the experiences of high school girls "running on pop music" (Bellflower), the transitions were all 2019 pop songs to place the audience in that sound palette with them.
To best service blocking, quick changes, and plot, the transitions were edited and remixed to be a specific amount of seconds, always ending on a button in order to make each one have the feeling of a complete piece of music.
