"A scientific exploration through drama. Simona, our protagonist, uncovers her father’s past through her studies and exploration of trauma. The team’s goal is to create theatre spaces for BIPOC students and represent all the dynamic facets of being Latina for an audience."
I often find that the emotional journey of a show is best guided by music. Here, a wide variety of songs back the most emotional scenes; taking the Latin background of our main characters into consideration, Simona Search's song selection features the likes of , with each song curated to fit the mood of the scene they are underscoring.
What would something only one person can see sound like? Our protagonist's inner demons manifest into an amalgamation of literal dark figures that haunt the space, resulting in a frightening underline in nearly every scene. Taking inspiration from horror video game effects, I distorted recordings of actor voices and weaved them into deep abstract stings to bring the Dark Figure to life.
